kackerboite creek

A web site chronicling the creeks, rivers and streams of the Mornington Peninsula; their beauty, their geography, their fragility and their poetry.

The Mornington Peninsula sits between three bodies of water: Port Phillip Bay along it's western edge, Western Port Bay along it's eastern edge and the waters of Bass Strait along the southern edge. There aren't major rivers on the Mornington Peninsula, but flowing into the bays are several small creeks and streams that have a character of their own.

The site has recently been reorganised; click on the Peninsula Creeks and Streams link on the left for a complete alphabetical list of the creeks and streams. Each creek or stream has its own page and eventually the aim is to document them all with text and photos.

This site was featured in an interview on 3RPP (Radio Port Phillip) in April 2009. I hope it will generate some more contributions to the project.
